Every year, collisions between wildlife and vehicles claim the lives of over 200 Americans and countless animals.
But there is good news on the horizon: A new bipartisan bill sponsored by SEEC Vice Chair Don Beyer will give a green light for creating new wildlife migration corridors to allow animals to safely migrate over human built roadways.
These dangerous collisions between vehicles and wildlife occur because human roadways often intersect with wildlife’s migratory patterns, but wildlife corridors can make a difference. That’s what the Wildlife Movement Through Partnerships Act is all about.
We’re excited about this legislation because we know it can prevent deadly collisions with wildlife and save lives – and it already has bipartisan support in Congress!
