Nope! This week, House Republicans decided the American people do not deserve clean air because they just passed two bills gutting our Clean Air Act protections.
For over half a century, the Clean Air Act has been an American success story that has protected our communities from life-threatening pollution.
House Republicans want to turn back the clock to make Americans even sicker so big corporations can pump dangerous amounts of pollution into our air with no consequences! This is what we call “death by a thousand cuts.”
Specifically, these bills would mask the true effects of cross-border air pollution (by pretending like air pollution cares about international borders) and silence scientists and experts at the Environmental Protection Agency from weighing in on the impact of major projects on air quality.
