BREAKING: Trump moves to gut wetland protections

Just when we thought it was bad enough for our clean water protections, Donald Trump is using a devastating Supreme Court decision in Sackett v. EPA to make it even worse.

Trump is now preparing to dramatically slash protections for wetlands nationwide. Their proposed rule would strip federal safeguards unless a wetland is wet all season long AND physically touching a river or stream. That means millions of acres of wetlands — critical for clean drinking water and flood protection — could be left completely unprotected.

This is the Trump administration’s “Dirty Water Rule.” And it’s a dream come true for polluters.

SEEC Members in Congress are leading the fight to protect our water and our wetlands — but they need your help. Please rush in a donation to help us fight back!

Here’s the truth: wetlands filter pollutants, absorb floodwaters, and protect communities across the country. Weakening these protections puts millions of Americans at risk — all to pad the profits of developers and fossil fuel corporations.

In the Supreme Court’s Sackett v. EPA case, they already massively scaled back the scope of the Clean Water Act in protecting wetlands, but now Trump’s EPA is taking that decision and going even farther.

We can’t allow Donald Trump and the Supreme Court to dismantle the Clean Water Act.

SEEC PAC is working to elect and re-elect a pro-climate majority in Congress that will defend clean water protections, strengthen environmental safeguards, and hold polluters accountable. But to keep up the fight, we need grassroots support from people like you.

Can we count on you to chip in today to help us fight back against Trump’s continued assault on our water and our climate?
