Trump is about to open the Arctic Refuge to drilling

The day we’ve been dreading is here.

The Senate has voted to overturn limits on oil and gas drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. It’s now headed to Donald Trump’s desk, and we know he’s going to sign it.

This will overturn the Biden Administration’s protections and open the door to drilling in one of the most fragile and irreplaceable landscapes in the world.

Only one Republican in the Senate voted against this destructive resolution. Every other Republican fell in line to clear the way for drilling.

We need your help to fight back! Will you chip in today to help us block Trump’s push to open the Arctic Refuge to oil and gas companies?

The Arctic Refuge is one of the last truly wild places left in America. It’s home to caribou, polar bears, migratory birds, and Indigenous communities who have relied on these lands for generations. Once these areas are drilled and industrialized, we cannot get them back.

That is why this past week, SEEC endorsed Rep. Jared Huffman’s Arctic Refuge Protection Act (H.R. 3067), that would protect the Arctic Refuge by permanently enshrining it as “wilderness”, which would halt any new oil and gas leasing and drilling.

SEEC Members are sounding the alarm. That is why but to keep up this fight we need the resources to push back against the fossil fuel lobby and hold the line in Congress.

Will you donate now to help our SEEC Members fight to protect the Arctic Refuge today?
