Trump’s fake “science office” is a complete joke

We’ve told you a lot about how Donald Trump is firing scientists, dismantling the EPA, and trying to shut down agencies like the National Science Foundation.

But there’s another alarming tactic unfolding: Trump’s EPA is now trying to fake a reputable process by creating their own alternative “science office.” It’s a complete joke, and the real purpose is to put a muzzle on real scientists.

Will you please rush in a donation right now to help us fight back against these attacks on science and take back the House by electing more climate champions this year?

Our SEEC Members in Congress are demanding answers. In a blockbuster committee hearing, SEEC Vice Chair Rep. Suzanne Bonamici grilled EPA officials with a critical question:

“Has any research project been delayed, modified or declined because it did not align with the priorities set by political appointees?”

Unfortunately, she got no real answers. When pressed on exactly which research projects have been stalled, they could only offer a dodging: “I would have to get back to you on that.”

You rest assured, Rep. Bonamici and her SEEC allies aren’t going to take that for an answer. They are determined to push and probe in whatever way is necessary to get to the bottom of this.

This is exactly why we need climate champions in Congress who will ask the tough questions and stand up for scientific integrity. Will you chip in today to support our work to protect the environment and help us take back the House this year?
